Lahore, April 18 — The district judiciary of Lahore has introduced a new biometric case-filing system. Chief Justice Aalia Neelum unveiled this measure aimed at tackling fraudulent filings. This shift was mandated by the Supreme Court and has been met with approval among legal professionals.

With the updated system, everyone who files a case must undergo biometric verification. Judge Neelum emphasized that since litigants manage to consult with their attorneys, completing the biometric procedure should not be an issue either. The objective of this measure is to guarantee the integrity of judicial processes.

Furthermore, the Lahore High Court provides a live daily cause list through its mobile application. This enables legal professionals and parties involved in litigation to view their case schedules instantly. In the near future, LED displays will be installed outside courtrooms to offer additional accessibility.

Judge Neelum reinforced her dedication to overhauling the judiciary. She highlighted the necessity of updating courtroom procedures to ensure swift and high-quality legal resolutions for everyone.
