Samsung Unveils Music Studio 7 and 5 Speakers at CES 2026

For years, Samsung has been crafting products that blend seamlessly into their surroundings, using art to disguise technology. The Frame TV is the most popular example, but they also launched the Music Frame, a speaker that looks like a picture frame, at last year’s CES. Now, instead of hiding a speaker behind art, Samsung collaborated with designer Erwan Bouroullec to transform a speaker into a piece of art itself.

The new Music Studio line of speakers, making its debut at CES 2026, is inspired by the “timeless dot concept” found in both music and art. As a musician, the Music Studio 5 reminds me of a fermata, a symbol used to indicate holding a note or silence. It features a 4-inch woofer and dual tweeters equipped with a built-in waveguide.

The larger Music Studio 7 is a versatile 3.1.1-channel speaker. It can function independently, in pairs for a wider stereo effect, or in conjunction with compatible Samsung Wi-Fi speakers, soundbars, or TVs through the company’s Q-Symphony technology. The Studio 7 supports high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/96kHz and, like the Music Studio 5, boasts AI Dynamic Bass Control to enhance bass response.

Often, speakers focused on aesthetics can sacrifice sound quality, but Samsung has made great strides in audio tuning over the past few years, making me optimistic about the performance of the Music Studio line.
