LG Gallery TV Showcasing Art to Debut at CES 2026

In just the last couple of years, the art TV market, long led by Samsung’s The Frame, has expanded with new entries from TCL and Hisense. Now, LG has revealed its own version, the LG Gallery TV. This TV will utilize the Gallery+ service that LG introduced earlier this year, featuring thousands of visuals ranging from artwork to cinematic scenes and even gaming images. Similar to Samsung’s Art Store, Gallery+ has a basic free option, but to unlock its full potential, you’ll need a subscription.

It’s important to note that the new Gallery TV isn’t the same as the G Series OLED TVs, like the LG G5, even though the G Series was previously known as the Gallery Series until a couple of years ago. The Gallery TV is a mini-LED model, designed with a unique screen that helps reduce glare and minimize reflections, offering an art-like viewing experience—suggesting it likely has a matte finish. While LG hasn’t specified the backlight setup, most other art TVs typically use edge lighting, so it’s reasonable to expect this will be the case as well. Although OLED technology provides better picture quality than mini LED, it can struggle with displaying a single image for a long time due to potential image retention or burn-in issues.

Taking a page from Hisense, LG includes a frame with the Gallery TV. The standard frame comes in white, but there’s also an option to buy a wooden frame separately. The TV will be available in 55 and 65 inches, but we still don’t have any information on pricing at this point.
