The Best Windows Laptop Deal
If you’re on the hunt for a more budget-friendly laptop this Black Friday, you can’t go wrong with the Dell 14 Plus. It features impressive specs: 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, and an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V. While I reviewed the version with a Core Ultra 7 258V, both provide excellent battery life and solid integrated graphics performance.
It also cleverly sidesteps two common issues of budget laptops: subpar displays and touchpads. The Dell 14 Plus boasts a high-resolution display (2560 x 1600) and a smooth touchpad that enhances the overall experience. At $500, it’s a premium laptop at an unbeatable price for Black Friday, but be aware that this is a limited deal, so act fast if you want it.
The Best MacBook Deal
Since its release this spring, the M4 MacBook Air has been hard to beat. It’s now priced at $749, making it more appealing than older models like the M2. The performance boost of the M4, including improved external display support, is well worth it. The M5 model is expected to arrive in early 2026, but it’s unlikely to be as affordable as the M4 right now, so grab it while you can.

The Best Chromebook Deal
You won’t find a better Chromebook deal than the Acer Chromebook Plus 516 this Black Friday. This new model has dropped to well under $300, making its higher specs accessible to a wider audience. It surpasses other budget Chromebooks in both display quality and performance. My pet peeve with budget laptops is usually the touchpad, but the Acer Chromebook Plus 516 has one you’ll actually enjoy using.
Another Good Chromebook Deal
The Lenovo Flex 5i Chromebook Plus is a solid alternative if you prefer something more compact with a smaller screen. Priced at $350, it’s one of the most affordable Chromebook Plus models available. With better performance, more storage, and an improved webcam, it’s a step up from standard Chromebooks. Plus, it features a 360-degree hinge and touchscreen, making it even more versatile.
The Latest MacBook, Already on Sale
The base 14-inch MacBook Pro comes equipped with the latest M5 chip, launched just a month ago. While the MacBook Air offers better value and the M4 Pro or M4 Max models are more powerful, the M5 MacBook Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) provides a significant performance boost across CPU, GPU, and the Neural Engine. Plus, it has a $200 discount just weeks after its release.
The Best Alienware Laptop
The Alienware 16X Aurora offers solid RTX 5060 performance and a refined design, praised for its color-accurate IPS display and premium touchpad.
The Best Gaming Laptop Deal
If you want a gaming laptop that feels discreet, the Razer Blade 14 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) fits the bill. Its compact size hides a powerful discrete GPU, while still providing decent battery life. The high-resolution, OLED 120-Hz display keeps games crisp, and the RTX 5060 or 5070 delivers impressive performance for its size.
The Best Gaming Laptop on Sale
Though the Razer Blade 14 is a great deal, the Razer Blade 16 stands out as the best gaming laptop on the market. It features the latest RTX 5090 graphics card and is among the thinnest gaming laptops at just 0.59 inches. Reviewer Luke Larsen notes its cooler surface temperatures and snappier keyboard.
If the Razer Blade models are still too pricey, consider the Asus ROG Strix G16, which is a couple of hundred dollars less. It boasts an IPS panel with minimal bezels and impressive brightness, featuring AMD’s 3D V-Cache mobile chip for outstanding performance.
The Best 2-in-1 Laptop Deal
The Microsoft Surface Pro (13-inch, 11th Edition, 2024) was impressive with its OLED panel when it debuted. It’s now $500 off for Black Friday, bringing it to $900. Just remember, you’ll still need to purchase a Surface Type Cover Keyboard to complete the setup.
An Extremely Lightweight Laptop
The Asus Zenbook A14 is extremely lightweight at just 2.16 pounds, making it an excellent choice for students and travelers alike. Despite its light weight, it doesn’t compromise on quality, featuring a comfortable keyboard and good battery life thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus chip. While the Dell 14 Plus might be a more versatile choice, the Zenbook A14’s portability is hard to overlook, especially at this price.
A Solid Budget Laptop
The Asus Vivobook 14 (X1407QA) is a Snapdragon X-powered laptop offering efficient performance and great battery life at a surprisingly low price. Currently, it’s $200 off for Black Friday. However, if the Dell 14 Plus is out of stock or no longer at its doorbuster price, the Asus Vivobook is a strong alternative at this price point.
What to Look for in a Black Friday Laptop Deal
Finding a great Black Friday laptop deal isn’t too different from shopping at any other time of year. We only recommend products we’ve personally tested. If you’re interested in a specific laptop on this list, check out its review. When shopping around, consider these specs alongside the laptop’s current price:
- CPU
- GPU
- Memory (RAM)
- Storage
- Display resolution, panel type, and refresh rate
- Battery life
Also, keep an eye on price history. CamelCamelCamel is a helpful tool to track price drops for specific laptops. Some laptops, like the Dell 14 Plus, are hitting all-time lows, while others are returning to previous low prices. Just because a deal is tagged as a "Black Friday Deal" doesn’t mean it’s the best deal out there; some may be similar to permanent discounts at retailers.

Is Now a Good Time to Buy a Laptop?
Yes, while Black Friday isn’t the only major shopping event of the year, it remains a key time to find excellent laptop deals, especially as companies clear out inventory to make way for new releases. This is especially true for MacBooks, as Apple didn’t refresh most of its lineup this fall. The anticipation of a follow-up in early 2026 has led to discounts on models like the M4 MacBook Air or M4 Pro/Max MacBook Pro.
