Colombo, April 11 — A group of ten top Sri Lankan information and communication technology firms will exhibit their offerings at the Japan IT Week (Spring) 2025, which ranks among Asia’s premier tech expos. This exhibition is set for April 23-25, 2025, at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan. These businesses will gather under the banner of the Sri Lanka Pavilion, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). This marks an important step forward in the continuing partnership between the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) and JICA.

This chance forms part of an extensive effort initiated in 2024 to boost Sri Lankan involvement in Japan’s information and communication technology (ICT) industry. Backed by JICA and executed through collaboration with the EDB, this scheme will assist around 30 ICT/BPM firms—ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to start-ups. Participants can benefit from personalized business mentoring, comprehensive market analysis, and targeted connections with potential Japanese collaborators.

Prior to the primary exhibit, the chosen 10 ICT companies will engage in B2B meetings and networking events on April 21 and 22, 2025. Organized alongside the Sri Lankan Embassy in Japan and JICA consultants, these sessions aim to establish direct connections between Sri Lankan businesses and possible Japanese partners and customers. The JICA consultants will offer practical technical assistance to aid participating firms in appropriately positioning and showcasing their offerings according to local market demands.

For Sri Lankan enterprises, Japan IT Week goes beyond being merely an industry exhibition. It serves as a gateway to a progressive ecosystem where steadfast quality, reliability, and enduring partnerships take center stage. Recognized as one of the leading ICT trade fairs worldwide, this event attracts a wide array of participants including technology innovators, digital solution suppliers, corporate purchasers, and investors looking for new opportunities.

Taking part at such a significant level boosts the global standing of Sri Lankan technology firms and allows them to connect directly with influential figures who are urgently looking for reliable, top-tier solutions and dependable collaborations.

The collaboration between EDB and JICA exemplifies the importance of international cooperation in fostering growth opportunities. Through this combined initiative, Sri Lankan businesses get access to valuable insights, expertise, and networking prospects within Japan, thereby promoting enduring progress and strengthening economic relations in the digital sector.

BoardPAC, Econsulate, IronOne, AI Labs, OREL IT, SenzMate, Softsora, Xeptagon, Zincat Technology, Zone Twentyfourseven, and Zone Twentyfourseven will represent Sri Lanka.
