The Ibadan chapter of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has welcomed 295 new members who recently graduated with degrees in engineering from the University of Ibadan for the 2023/2024 academic year.

The event took place in the lecture theater at the Faculty of Technology within the University of Ibadan.

Addressing the theme “From Engineering Theory to Practice: The Role of Young Engineers in Tackling Global Challenges,” President of the NSE, Mrs. Margaret Oguntala, urged young engineers to delve deep into their work and venture into lesser-explored domains within engineering.

Oguntala, who was present through representation at the event, encouraged the new inductees to uphold the most stringent codes of professional conduct.

She also called on fellows and elders of the profession to take a special interest in mentoring the new inductees.
