Morocco is participating in the 17th edition of Motortec Madrid, an important European automotive trade fair, which runs from April 23 to 26.

The Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE) has announced through a press statement on Thursday that they will be joining hands with the Moroccan Association for Automotive Industry and Construction (AMICA). This partnership aims to facilitate Morocco’s participation in an upcoming event designed to allow local businesses to exhibit their goods. It also provides them with avenues to discover fresh market opportunities and reinforce connections with Spain—a major trade ally of Morocco.

AMDIE is supporting eight Moroccan companies at the event: six first-time exporters and two established international firms. These companies have been backed since 2022 through AMDIE’s Call for Expression of Interest program for strategic industrial sectors.

Morocco has emerged as a key manufacturing center for international automobile firms, benefiting from strong integration within an advanced industrial framework and state-of-the-art logistical facilities. This environment consistently draws investment from European, Asian, and American entities.

Morocco’s participation in Motortec supports its wider objectives to enhance competitiveness, strengthen domestic manufacturing involvement, and increase the export of premium automotive goods.
