The central banks of Malaysia and Thailand have signed an agreement to enhance their collaborative efforts in cybersecurity and protecting against digital fraud.
Under the MOU, the
Bank Negara Malaysia
(BNM) and the
Bank of Thailand
The initiative seeks to foster a stronger collaborative partnership aimed at enhancing efficient information dissemination, capability development, and the sharing of optimal procedures, as stated on the central banks’ official web pages.
Governor Dato’ Seri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour from BNM and Governor H.E. Dr. Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput of the BOT have signed an MoU.
“This collaboration with the Bank of Thailand will greatly enhance our joint efforts in cybersecurity and combating digital fraud,” stated BNM Governor Dato’ Seri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour.
“By entering into this collaboration, we strive to strengthen the resilience and security of our financial infrastructures for the advantage of customers in both nations,” stated BOT Governor H.E. Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput.
