On April 8, Pakistan — The Lahore Digital Arts Festival (LDF) along with The Little Art foundation and the School of Visual Arts & Design at Beaconhouse National University (BNU) have entered into an agreement to showcase “Women vs. Machines.” This pioneering exhibition will delve into the convergence of gender dynamics, technological advancements, and sporting activities.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed by Quddus Mirza, who serves as the Interim Head of Department at SVAD within BNU, and Umair Mushtaq, acting as the Interim Director of The Little Art. This signature represents an important move towards promoting cross-disciplinary cooperation between artistic and educational organizations in Pakistan.
The inaugural event for LDF’s 2025-26 program lineup is titled Women vs. Machines. This exhibit converges celebrated female digital creators and sports figures into an exclusive conversation spanning performances, visual arts, and social advocacy. Led by producers Najam-Ul Assar and overseen by curators Sarah Rajper, Rohma Khan, and Fatima Butt, this showcase collaborates closely with the UNESCO Chair on Inclusion via Art, under the direction of Chairperson Rashid Rana. The project receives backing from the Institut Francais within the framework of Novembre Numérique, along with contributions from the French Embassy in Pakistan, Alliance Française de Lahore, and Beaconhouse National University.
