Ikea’s latest addition, the adorable and vibrant Kallsup Bluetooth speakers, are priced at just $10 (€5 in Europe) each and offer seamless Bluetooth pairing. You can connect one to your phone, and with a simple two-button sequence, add another Kallsup to the mix. In theory, you can link up to 100! The team I spoke with at CES, where Ikea is making its debut this year, mentioned they’ve only successfully connected 40 so far in their office. Challenge accepted!
Designed by Swedish designer and Ikea collaborator Ola Wihlborg, this portable square speaker measures just 2.75 x 2.75 x 3 inches. It features small legs on the bottom, a speaker grill on the side, and two buttons for pairing and play/pause on top. Available in white, dark pink, and lime green, the Kallsup charges via USB-C, and Ikea assures that the battery is replaceable.
I had the chance to experiment with nine Kallsups in Ikea’s suite yesterday, and I was genuinely impressed by the powerful sound from such a compact device. To connect additional speakers, I simply pressed the Bluetooth button on each one to turn it on, waited for the startup sound, and held the play button for a few seconds until the music started. It took just a couple of seconds per speaker, and once all nine were linked, the room filled with sound impressively.
It would be a blast to scatter a bunch of these around a room—or even in a garden, although they’re not waterproof—for a splash of color accompanied by great sound. The Kallsup uses Bluetooth 5.3 and is set to hit store shelves in April 2026.
