Get $20 From Verizon After Nationwide Outage – Here’s How!

Verizon is giving customers a $20 account credit following a significant outage that disrupted service across the US on Wednesday. In a post on X, Verizon mentioned that you’ll get a text message when the credit is ready. You can claim it by logging into the myVerizon app and accepting it. “Yesterday, we did not meet the standard of excellence you expect and that we expect of ourselves,” Verizon stated. “This credit isn’t meant to make up for what happened. No credit really can.” They also mentioned that the $20 credit should cover “multiple days of service.”

The outage hit customers nationwide around 12 PM ET on Wednesday, leaving many unable to connect, with their phones switching to SOS mode. The issue was resolved by about 10:15 PM ET, but Verizon did not disclose the cause of the outage. If you’re still having problems, Verizon recommends restarting your device to reconnect to the network.
