Fitbit users who haven’t migrated their data to a Google account can now do so until May 19, 2026. The earlier deadline of February 2nd was recently updated on Google’s help page for Fitbit account migration. The update clarifies, “You can still download or delete your data any time before we begin processing data deletions on July 15, 2026.”
While Google had already mentioned that Fitbit account data would be deleted, this update gives users a clearer timeline for that process. It also allows a few extra months for downloading Fitbit data, even after the new migration deadline.
This isn’t the first time Google has pushed back the deadline for Fitbit account migrations; it was initially set for 2025 before being adjusted to February 2nd. After the new deadline of May 19th, Fitbit users will lose access to their accounts and any historical data unless they choose to download it or preserve it during the migration to a Google account. Google has not yet responded to requests for comment.
