Enhanced Obstacle Avoidance with LiDAR Technology
One of the most significant improvements in the Neo 2 is the incorporation of LiDAR sensors for enhanced obstacle avoidance. This system is complemented by downward-looking infrared sensors, ensuring safer navigation as the drone follows users in flight. While the Neo 2 maintains integrated propeller guards, the addition of this advanced obstacle avoidance technology offers extra assurance for users.
Gesture Control Functionality
The Neo 2 introduces innovative gesture controls, allowing users to quickly navigate and capture dynamic selfie videos without the need for manual input. By simply moving their hands, users can adjust the drone’s positioning and distance. Furthermore, the drone continues to support DJI’s motion controllers and the RC-N3 remote controller, offering multiple options for operation.

Equipped with a larger 1606mAh rechargeable battery, the Neo 2 offers up to 19 minutes of flight time per charge, surpassing the 14 to 17 minutes of its predecessor. This extended battery life allows for more comprehensive usage and exploration.
Superior Camera Technology
The camera on the Neo 2 features a dual-axis gimbal that significantly improves image stability. Although equipped with the same half-inch sensor as the original, it now provides a wider field of view and can record 4K video at 60 frames per second. For those piloting the drone manually, the frame rate increases to 100 FPS, enhancing the quality of capturing fast-moving subjects.
Increased Internal Storage
Internal storage has also been expanded to 49GB, more than double the original 22GB. This increase allows users to store larger amounts of footage without the need for external memory.

The Neo 2 is slightly heavier than its predecessor, weighing 151 grams compared to 135 grams. However, with improved speed and battery performance, this additional weight is not expected to affect user experience significantly.
Pricing and Market Release
Currently, the Neo 2 is exclusive to the Chinese market, retailing for 1,499 Chinese Yuan, equivalent to approximately $211.
