“Share a Disney quote that sums up how you’re feeling right now!” That’s what Disney posted on Threads recently, and people quickly jumped in with quotes from Star Wars, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and even Mary Poppins. The common theme among all the quotes? They were decidedly anti-fascist and seemed to take a jab at the current administration.
It seems Disney either couldn’t handle the anti-fascist undertones of its own films or was too wary about upsetting those in power, as they swiftly deleted the post. Luckily, a clever Threads user captured it for posterity, reminding us that, yes, the world is indeed a chaotic place.
