The Managing Director of Polymatech Electronics Limited, Eswara Rao Nandam, declared an extra investment of Rs 10,000 crore in Chhattisgarh at the event. He mentioned that the facility’s commercial production would commence between April and May 2026.

The cutting-edge facility, established by Polymatech Electronics Limited with an investment of Rs 1,143 crore, will produce high-frequency gallium nitride (GaN) chips engineered for operation within the range of 5.925 GHz to 13.75 GHz (Nodes N102-104). These innovative components are intended for use in sophisticated 5G and 6G telecommunication systems, symbolizing a significant step forward in India’s tech advancement.

This initiative aims to generate substantial job prospects for locals, attract overseas investments, and stimulate economic growth within the region. The most notable societal effect will occur in regions like Bastar and other zones impacted by Naxalism, as young individuals will receive technical education, thus connecting them with contemporary industries.

The plant aims to manufacture 10 billion chips annually by 2030, with the potential to generate thousands of direct jobs and lakhs of indirect employment opportunities.

This initiative directly aids the Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’ programs by lessening reliance on foreign-sourced semiconductors and fostering local ingenuity.

“The newly established identity of Chhattisgarh goes beyond being merely a plant; it represents the state’s essence,” stated the Chief Minister.
Vishnu Deo Sai
Our objective goes beyond attracting investment; we want young people from tribal, rural, and underdeveloped areas to get technical training and play an active role in India’s technological transformation.

Polymatech will handle the advanced packaging of these high-frequency chips at the Raipur facility, which will also serve as a hub for innovation in RF systems, defense electronics, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and high-performance computing.

Gallium nitride is widely acknowledged as a better choice than silicon for high-power, high-frequency uses because of its efficiency, heat management capabilities, and robustness. This new facility signifies India’s debut in the lucrative and strategically important sector of the international semiconductor industry.

The Chhattisgarh administration has demonstrated its dedication to both facilitating ease of conducting business and accelerating the speed at which businesses can operate. The state government promptly acted to ensure there would be no obstacles in establishing this facility.

During the ‘Chhattisgarh Investor Connect’ event held in New Delhi in December 2024, the Chhattisgarh government inked an agreement for investment with Polymatech Electronics. With the ceremonial placement of the foundation stone, the state plans to establish its premier advanced semiconductor facility, backed by an investment totaling Rs 1143 crore.

As per the statements from officials at the Industry Department, the firm was granted land in Sector 5.
