Our planet brims with numerous perplexing anomalies, ranging from
a ‘disc resembling UFOs’ in New Mexico
to a
secret ‘doorway’ in Antarctica
.
Currently, individuals are expressing concern over a puzzling triangular structure situated at Area 51 in the Nevada desert.
The massive science fiction-like building, located approximately 80 miles northwest of Las Vegas, has been making waves online after it was noticed.
Google
Maps.
On social media, individuals have likened it to a skyscraper, an exhaust vent, and even a Dyson air purifier.
But its location at Area 51 is leading conspiracy theorists to speculate that it is somehow involved in
alien
contact.
Area 51, the top-secret United States Air Force facility and operational military site, is often associated with
UFO
theories and folklore.
After a shot of the tower was posted to
Reddit
One user mentioned, “It’s where the extraterrestrials experiment with different types of white substances.”
As someone else mentioned: ‘Clearly of extraterrestrial origin. It appears once our planet has finished with it.’
‘Its purpose was to spark theoretical discussions,’ another contributor chimed in.
Facebook
Users also playfully discussed the identity of the tower, with someone likening it to “a new take on Jenga,” the well-known British tabletop game.
Another person commented, “That belongs to me.”
Samsung
‘TV remote,’ one responded, while someone else remarked: ‘That looks like the Leaning Tower of Pizza.’
One merely provided the description: ‘Toblerone trading hub.’
Another person commented, “The extraterrestrials mentioned, ‘We can assist you, but we cannot operate within the confines of your human rectangular structures; we require tall, triangular buildings for our operations.'”
Others compared it to the tall revolving home air conditioners from the likes of Dyson, with one saying it is being used as ‘the cure to global warming’.
Like what other critics have observed, it carries a comparable enigmatic atmosphere to the infamous monolith featured in Stanley Kubrick’s science fiction classic ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’.
On Google Maps, the unusual structure can be located simply by entering the coordinates in the search bar – ‘37.24624° N, 115.82334° W’.
As users can observe, it’s located in a distant place.
Nevada
approximately 80 miles (130 km) northwest of
Las Vegas
, which is the state’s biggest city.
It is situated next to an extensive complex of structures, vehicles, and airstrips that make up the heavily restricted area known as Homey Airport or Groom Lake.
The tower features a lengthy, winding earthen structure encircling it in the form of a noose, casting a formidable shadow due to the Nevada sunlight—a resemblance so striking that a commenter on Facebook dubbed it “a highly precise sundial.”
Interestingly, Google Maps refrains from naming the structure, and when users click on it, they are shown merely a popup displaying its coordinates.
Nevertheless, there seems to be a logical reason behind the construction of the tower – and it has nothing to do with extraterrestrials, climate change, or the monolith featured in “2001: A Space Odyssey.”
The tower serves as an RCS measurement facility, where airplanes or scale models are positioned to assess their visibility to radar systems.
A Facebook user commented: “The silhouette and height correspond to the characteristics of such a pylon structure utilized for supporting life-sized aircraft models or prototypes.”
Described alternatively as being between 150 feet and 190 feet tall, it is said to have been built approximately two decades prior but was officially recognized by the U.S. government in 2013.
Owing primarily to the U.S. government’s secrecy regarding its military operations, the location is expected to keep fueling such outlandish speculations for a considerable time.
It comes shortly after a
mysterious structure in a mountainous region of New Mexico took the internet by storm
, leading to assertions of unidentified flying objects.
Users of Google Maps noticed a big, white circular object protruding from the ground at an altitude of 7,400 feet, located at the coordinates 34°24’21.6″N 107°05’44.5″W.
The structure was subsequently recognized as a rainwater collection system that has now been taken out and substituted with another construction.
At the same time, a peculiar ‘portal’ observed near Antarctica, approximately southeast of Japan’s Showa Station, ignited a flurry of online speculations, including one humorous claim suggesting it was ‘Bigfoot’s getaway retreat’.
