Database provider ClickHouse has raised $400 million at a $15 billion valuation, according to Bloomberg. This marks a significant jump from its previous valuation of $6.35 billion last May. The funding round was led by Dragoneer Investment Group, with participation from notable investors like Bessemer Venture Partners, GIC, Index Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Originally spun out from Russian search giant Yandex in 2021, ClickHouse specializes in database software that efficiently processes the large datasets AI agents require. It competes with well-known companies like Snowflake and Databricks.

In addition to the funding news, ClickHouse announced it has acquired Langfuse, a startup that assists developers in tracking and evaluating the performance of their AI agents. Langfuse is a direct competitor to LangSmith, which is LangChain’s observability platform.

ClickHouse offers an open-source database and generates revenue through managed cloud services. The company reported a year-over-year growth of over 250% in annual recurring revenue (ARR). Its clientele includes major names such as Meta, Tesla, Capital One, Lovable, Decagon, and Polymarket.
