Saudi Arabia’s Humain Set to Launch $10 Billion AI Venture Fund

Introduction to Humain Ventures

Humain, the Saudi state-owned artificial intelligence enterprise, is poised to establish a $10 billion investment fund named Humain Ventures. This initiative aims to support innovative startups across the United States, Europe, and Asia, as reported by The Financial Times.

Strategic Collaborations with Leading Tech Firms

Tareq Amin, the CEO of Humain, indicated that the company is engaging in discussions with prominent U.S.-based firms, including Andreessen Horowitz, OpenAI, and xAI, founded by Elon Musk. Additionally, Humain is evaluating potential partnerships with U.S. businesses to divest an equity interest in its data center operations.

While Amin did not disclose specific company names, he emphasized that some partners would be "massive names in the data center segment."

Humain’s Recent Developments

The establishment of Humain occurred at the beginning of this month, coinciding with a scheduled visit from U.S. President Donald Trump and several key figures in the technology sector. This development aligns with a new initiative from the Trump administration that permits American tech suppliers, such as Nvidia and AMD, to enter into collaborations with companies in Saudi Arabia.

To date, Humain has successfully formed partnerships with industry leaders, including Qualcomm, Nvidia, AMD, and Amazon. The company has ambitious plans to achieve 1.9 gigawatts of data center capacity by 2030, positioning itself to handle approximately 7% of global AI training and inferencing activities within the same timeframe. Amin estimated that this extensive project would require an investment of about $77 billion.

Conclusion

Humain’s aggressive strategy, which includes the launch of a substantial venture fund and collaborations with influential tech firms, signifies its commitment to advancing the AI landscape. As it seeks to establish a strong presence in the global market, Humain is likely to play a critical role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence technology.
